Funds required before the South Park Bridge is replaced
Transportation

While King County applies for the federal TIGER grant to replace the South Park Bridge, $4 million must first be secured to purchase the right-of-way needed--2.25 acres of land.

It is just one of many priority transportation projects recommended to receive funding during 2011 to 2012, but before the funding is finalized the Puget Sound Regional Council is seeking public comment through Oct. 22.

Here's how you can comment:

  • Mail: Puget Sound Regional Council, ATTN: Kelly McGourty, 1011 Western Avenue, Suite 500 Seattle, Washington 98104-1035
  • E-mail: kmcgourty@psrc.org.
  • In Person: Oct. 8 at 9:30 a.m. or Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. at Puget Sound Regional Council.

A complete list of projects being considered for funding, and more detailed information, is available online at www.psrc.org.
